Cities and counties are taking real steps to tackle climate change—from expanding their use of renewable energy to adopting aggressive emissions reductions targets and investing in sustainable infrastructure.
- The Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy: The largest global platform for sharing and building on climate action in cities, it includes over 125 cities in the United States, with more than 650 globally. Signatories commit to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing resilience to climate change, and tracking their progress in an open, transparent way that fosters learning among peers.
- Climate Mayors: A network of U.S. mayors committed to action in their communities, as well as working together to secure supportive policy-making for ambitious climate action at the federal and international level. More than 350 Climate Mayors have signed a pledge to do their part to meet the Paris Climate Agreement.
